Summer Camp’24, organized by Polygon University and APBS, was held on August 21 and 22, 2024 in Hammamet, an ideal setting to stimulate creativity and innovation. This event brought together more than 100 young talents passionate about entrepreneurship, offering a unique platform to develop essential skills and encourage the emergence of innovative projects.
The main objectives of Summer Camp’24 were to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among participants by encouraging them to develop innovative ideas and create viable projects in various sectors, such as technology and sustainable development. We also sought to teach essential practical skills, offering certified training in problem solving, innovative ideation, Business Model Canvas (BMC) and presentation skills. Finally, the camp aimed to promote teamwork by strengthening collaborative skills through group activities, role plays and team challenges, in order to prepare young talents to meet the challenges of the entrepreneurial world.
An Initiative Towards Excellence
Summer Camp ’24 aimed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge to become innovative entrepreneurs. The sessions were geared towards:
- Personal and professional development: Allow students to know themselves better and discover ways to overcome their limits.
- Practical learning: Offer concrete tools to transform innovative ideas into viable projects through specialized workshops.
- Exploring new horizons: Encourage participants to think differently, think outside the box and create original solutions.
The event was structured around three key pillars: innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and teamwork. Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in collaborative activities while being supervised by renowned experts. This stimulating framework allowed everyone to express their creativity while acquiring tangible and certified skills.
Certified Workshops to Develop Practical Skills
During the Summer Camp, participants followed several certified training courses on essential themes for modern entrepreneurs and innovators:
- Problem Solving: A workshop focused on identifying common challenges in the entrepreneurial environment and designing creative solutions to overcome them.
- Innovative ideation: This workshop guided participants through the process of generating new ideas, using brainstorming and analysis techniques to arrive at actionable concepts.
- The Business Model Canvas (BMC): Participants learned how to create viable and sustainable business models using this essential tool, used by entrepreneurs around the world.
- Presentation techniques: To top it all off, a workshop on presentation and effective communication allowed students to improve their oratorical skills and better structure their ideas during their pitches.
These training courses, rich in content and supervised by qualified trainers, not only allowed participants to acquire new skills, but also to leave with rewarding certifications for their professional future.
Innovation Competitions: Putting Ideas to the Test
One of the highlights of the Summer Camp was the innovation competition where participants, organized into teams, had the opportunity to put what they learned into practice.
The teams worked together to develop innovative projects, which they presented to a jury of experts.
The projects were judged on their originality, feasibility and potential impact. The best projects were rewarded with attractive prizes:
- 1st price: 2000 dt
- 2e price: 1000 dt
- 3e price: 500 dt
These awards were not only a financial incentive, but also a recognition of the participants’ ability to design relevant and creative solutions to solve real-world problems.
Enriching Meetings and Networking
Summer Camp 24 was also an exceptional networking platform. Participants had the opportunity to meet experienced entrepreneurs, trainers, as well as other motivated and talented young people. These exchanges made it possible to establish valuable links which could give rise to future collaborations, or even new joint projects. Discussions with experts and entrepreneurs gave participants an insight into the reality of the business world and inspired them to pursue their own projects with more determination.
Summer Camp 24 was an exciting adventure, combining learning, innovation, and sharing. It allowed each participant to leave with strengthened skills, inspiring ideas, and enriching connections.
